Curious minds of all ages are invited to join our SB Reads Science Fair. SB Reads featured title The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin is an award-winning science fiction fantasy novel inspired in part by the science that occurs on Earth every day, delving into geology, seismology, paleoclimate, and geomorphology. The Science Fair will feature table talks from UCSB scientists and graduate students on their current research, as well as several hands-on science activities for kids and families from our friends at MOXI, Santa Barbara Zoo, Museum of Natural History, Explore Ecology, UCSB Society of Women Engineers, and Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network as well as Library Staff. Are you a budding scientist ages 8-18? Submit your project that explores earth science, climate change, or sustainability to be featured in the Science Fair.
