Find your Library Joy! National Library Week 2026
National Library Week (April 19-26) is a nationwide celebration of libraries, library workers, and the many ways we support our neighbors.
This year’s national theme, Find Your Library Joy!, reflects what we see every day: the joy of discovering an unexpected book, connecting with other caregivers at early literacy events, meeting new friends at library programs, finding a quiet place to study, or chatting with friendly staff at a Library on the Go stop. From the stacks to the streets, we’re proud to sprinkle library joy wherever we can.
“National Library Week is a great time to highlight the many ways libraries help strengthen communities,” said Brandon Beaudette, Library Director. “It’s also a chance to celebrate the dedicated library staff who make all Santa Barbara Public Libraries welcoming and joyful spaces.”
