Library on the Go

Body

As the mobile branch of the Santa Barbara Public Library system, Library on the Go brings library services directly to people where they live, work, and play. We bring programs, services, and collections to strategic locations to best meet the needs of our community.

Through consistent recurring stops, attendance at community events, and special pop-ups, the Library on the Go allows people to access library services in unexpected places, building community through literacy. In 2025, Library on the Go delivered 709 hours of public service at 373 stops throughout Santa Barbara.

Recurring Stops

We have found that consistency is important for building our community’s trust and reading habits. We are committed to maintaining a schedule that includes recurring stops at parks, schools, and community spaces so that you can count on finding us out there!

We rotate these stops throughout the seasons to best meet community needs, based on our experience and your feedback. For a list of our current Recurring Stops, visit our Events Calendar.
