Community Memory Digitization Project
Preserve your cherished memories with the Community Memory Digitization Project.
Do you have precious photographs you’d love to get digitized but just don’t know where to start? How many times has your child brought home beautiful school artwork that you wished you could keep, but simply didn’t have the space? No worries, bring them to us!
You’re invited to have paper-based materials carefully digitized by library staff, with originals returned and digitized versions saved a USB Drive.
Please note that the number of items per patron will be limited (Item limits will be announced prior to each drop-off period) to ensure equitable access for all.
How it works:
Drop off period:
Monday, June 22 through Saturday, June 27
Paper-based materials may be dropped off at the Eastside Library Info Desk during regular Library Open Hours
At drop off you will:
- Label your materials using library-provided labels
- Sign a release form acknowledging that the library is not responsible for potential damage, provided materials are in standard condition.
Please note:
- Limited to 15 items total.
- Items must be 11x17 inches or less
- A 10x14 inch envelope will be provided. Larger items will be clipped to the outside of the envelope
- Patrons are welcome to bring their own folders
Over a 3-4 week period, library staff will digitize submitted materials using Library Equipment. Saving the files to a USB drive.
