Palace Project
Palace Project app
Access our Libby collection, Enki eBooks, and the California State Library collections through the Palace Project app. First, open the Palace app. Then, tap settings to add our library to your collection. Next, enter your library card ID and library PIN to search, borrow, and read! This app is available for Apple and Android devices.
You can also access the Palace Project through their web catalog. Browse for titles, check out items, manage loans and holds, and read eBooks and digital audiobooks all within your web browser.
Can't find a title you want on Palace? Thanks to Califa (a nonprofit library membership consortium representing 200+ libraries in California), you can submit title requests in both English and Spanish via one online form. If the requested title is purchased for the statewide collection, you will receive a notification and can access the title in Palace. Please note these requests are managed by Califa and not Santa Barbara Public Library.
At this time, holds are not eligible for transfer within the Palace app. This means if you get a replacement library card, Palace cannot transfer any active holds to your new card. You will need to place another hold with your new library card.
Check out up to 10 titles at a time. Place up to 10 holds. Please note, since you can read Libby titles within the Palace app, you cannot have more than 10 holds between Libby and Palace Project.
