Body

This December a selection of art works by Santa Barbara Art Association (SBAA) members will be on view in the Faulkner Main Gallery during the Library’s open hours. Join the artists on First Thursday for a celebration of the work with refreshments on Thursday December 7 from 5pm-8pm.

Founded in 1952, SBAA currently has a membership of approximately 525 artists who work in a variety of mediums. SBAA was founded to provide the people of this area an opportunity to view a number of free art shows and to foster and support art education in the community. To this end, it presents shows in various venues, sponsors workshops. SBAA grants awards and scholarships to outstanding students in high school and local colleges, and through the Student Art Fund awards grants to local art teachers. Membership is juried.
