You’re invited: Community Baby Shower
Santa Barbara Public Library is excited to host its annual Community Baby Shower — a free, fun-filled, event designed especially for new and expecting parents and caregivers.
Date: Saturday October 4, 2025
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: Central Library, Michael Towbes Library Plaza (40 East Anapamu Street)
Parking: Paid parking is available in downtown Santa Barbara. City Lots 6 and 7 are closest to the Central Library. The first 75 minutes are free!
No registration required, just drop-in and enjoy!
Attendees will meet friendly Library staff and explore the many services SBPL offers to families and babies – including Baby & Me, a weekly Storytime that supports your baby’s early literacy. You can also connect with tons of partnering organizations dedicated to supporting families like yours.
This is a great opportunity to:
- Ask questions about parenting, literacy, and child development.
- Learn how to support your baby’s health and learning from day one.
- Connect with other parents and caregivers in the community.
Bonus: The first 50 attendees will receive a gift bag with childcare items, courtesy of Santa Barbara Public Library!
