After finishing Six of Crows you must still be wondering “what just happened?” and "whatʼs going to happen next?” Well Crooked Kingdom answers all of these burning questions that you still have and wonder. After being double crossed and left to die by their former employer, the powerful merchant Van Eck. The Crows must now form a plan to try and save their captured teammate before it is too late. But their problems only get worse. Van Eck has made an alliance with the notorious businessman and gang leader Pekka Rollins, a man Kaz Brekker, the leader of the Crows knows all too well. Meanwhile, everyone is going through their own tragic character arcs. Nina is trying to cope from her exposure to the dangerous, Grisha upgrading drug: Jurda Parem. Wylan is trying to uncover the mysteries from his past and find the answers and self-worth he needs. Then Inej is trying to survive her new surroundings. But on top of all of this tragedy and chaos the Crows must try and keep a prisoner that they have out of everyoneʼs hands. This is a great read for anybody who has already read Six of Crows and wants the final clarification and answers needed from the first book. It offers somehow more action, suspense, and drama than the first one and brings in entirely new elements to the story. Leigh Bardugo delivers another better than the first book sequel because here things only get bigger and more chaotic.
