During the winter holiday season, all Santa Barbara Public Library locations will observe the following adjusted hours and temporary closures:

  • All Locations closed: December 22-26, 2025
  • Early Closure at 2 PM: December 31, 2025
  • All locations closed: January 1, 2026

Please note: All outdoor book returns will be closed from December 22-26 and library materials’ due dates will be extended accordingly. All Library on the Go stops are canceled from December 22-26.

Library branches will reopen for regular hours on January 2, 2026. These closures allow for library staff to rest and for the completion of necessary facilities maintenance, including our annual deep cleaning.
